The course introduces the principles of design of air conditioning systems and their applications to undergraduate students by combining the fields of thermodynamics, psychrometry, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer and combining the fields of thermodynamics, psychrometry, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• To provide the students with an understanding of heating, ventilating and air conditioning concepts. • Understands psychrometry and air-water vapour mixtures. • Learn about the different types of air-conditioning systems. • Understand the entire air conditioning system. • Learn the applications of air conditioning. • Compute the heating load of buildings. • Learn solar radiation.
