Description

 The course provides the students with the knowledge and understanding of the concepts, techniques, and applications of Computer Integrated Manufacture (CIM) It also shows how 2D CAD designs are converted to Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programs to direct automated machining equipment using basic principles of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM).

 • Introduction to Production Systems • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) • Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) • Understand the concepts of CIM, CAD, and CAM • Understand the basic features and characteristics of CNC machines  • Develop CNC part programs using different machine tools
