Fluid mechanics II is an advanced mechanical engineering course offered at the undergraduate level. The course will cover topics like laminar and turbulent flow boundary layers over flat plates, laminar and turbulent flow in conduits, drag and lift forces on immersed bodies, the fundamentals of compressible flow and shock waves that are useful for the nozzle and compressible flow analysis, flow measuring devices and flow observation, and turbo-machinery.
• Surface resistance • Flow in conduits • Drag and Lift • Compressible Flow • Flow measurements • Turbo-machinery
